Buffalo Bills’ safety Jordan Poyer

It is surprising that the Buffalo Bills starting safety has yet to make a Pro Bowl as he has consistently played at a high level since joining the franchise in 2017. This past year may have been the biggest oversight as he led all safeties in the NFL in total tackles.

This year, he has played in five games and is averaging just under five total tackles per game which is down from last year. However, he is making more impact plays as he has one sack, two interceptions and four passes defended already. That matches last year’s interception total and he needs only one more pass defended to match last season.

If Poyer can continue to make these impact plays, which seemed to be the reason he was left out of the Pro Bowl last season, there is no reason that Poyer doesn’t make his first career Pro Bowl this season.
