Improve the run game

The Buffalo Bills earlier in the season were finding some success with Devin Singletary and Zack Moss. However, the past two games have been nearly as productive as Singletary and Moss have combined for only 113 rushing yards and averaged only 3.8 yards per carry.

This is not necessarily because the Bills haven’t committed to the run as they rank sixth in the NFL in rushing attempts with 179. However, to reach that total the Bills have had to lean more on Josh Allen than they probably would like as he has 44 rushing attempts already.

The coaching staff is essentially coming to a cross road with their run game for this season. The Bills either need to get more production from their running backs and figure out what those plays look like or limit the rushing attempts. This would mean leaning on Josh Allen and the passing game more to keep the offense on track.

This bye week provides a great opportunity to evaluate this part of the offense and determine how they want to move forward.
