Levi Wallace

The likely return of Julio Jones is going to put pressure on Levi Wallace because he will either be asked to guard the former All-Pro receiver or A.J. Brown, who made the Pro Bowl last season. This is not an easy task as both players are capable of taking over a game given the opportunity.

One of the biggest challenges is just due to their size with Julio Jones at 6’3″ and 220 pounds and A.J. Brown at 6’1″ and 226 pounds. This means Wallace is probably going to be giving up a few inches regardless of who he is covering at 6’0″ and 179 pounds.

It would stand to reason that Wallace will see plenty of targets this week with Tre’Davious White on the other side. He struggled a bit Week 1 against the Pittsburgh Steelers where Ben Roethlisberger targeted him 11 times according to Pro Football Reference.

He had a fairly quiet three weeks from Week 2 to Week 4 before being targeted seven times last week against the Kansas City Chiefs. If Levi Wallace can have a big game, and slow down whoever he is guarding, that could ultimately decide the outcome of the game and makes him one of the bigger x-factors this week for the Buffalo Bills.
