1. Tom Brady (Tampa Bay Buccaneers)
It is amazing at 44 years of age, Tom Brady is probably playing some of his best football and right now has to be the favorite for MVP. The Bucs quarterback currently leads the league in completions (149), attempts (225), and passing yards (1,767). He also is only one passing touchdown behind the leader with 15 while only throwing two interceptions this year.
The Bucs secondary has struggled this year and Brady is unlikely to slow down this pace. The reason is that they are going to need him to throw to win as they will probably find themselves in shootouts most of the season. They also have an excellent group of wide receivers in Mike Evans, Chris Godwin and Antonio Brown that are regularly getting open and very productive.
If Brady were to win the MVP award, it would be his fourth in his career and only one behind Peyton Manning for the record of most MVP awards won in a career.
