Josh Allen sitting near top of MVP power ranking after Week 5
After his performance against the Kansas City Chiefs, Josh Allen is squarely in the MVP discussion for a second straight year.
While there is plenty of football left to be played, with five weeks of the season now complete the MVP race is starting to come into focus. Entering the season, Josh Allen was expected to be apart of that discussion but got off to a bit of a slow start.
However, over the past three weeks the Buffalo Bills quarterback has been playing excellent football and Sunday night against the Kansas City Chiefs was an early season exclamation point. He would finish the game with 315 passing yards, with 59 rushing yards and four total touchdowns. It was almost mistake-free football as he had no interceptions, fumbles or sacks against the Chiefs.
The question now is was it enough to move him to the top of the MVP race?
These are my rankings of the MVP candidates in the NFL after Week 5 of the 2021 season.
