Cole Beasley

The Buffalo Bills starting slot receiver has made plenty of headlines away from the football field with some tweets he has made but the reason I included him in this list goes beyond that.

Last season, Beasley was a key part of this offense and had a career year with 82 receptions, 967 receiving yards and four touchdowns. He earned second-team All-Pro honors for his play and was one of Josh Allen’s top targets.

This season has been a different story as the Bills offense has changed with the emergence of Dawson Knox and Emmanuel Sanders being bigger parts of this passing attack. For Cole Beasley, this has limited his opportunities as snap counts have steadily decreased from 91% in Week 1 to only 39% in Week 5 against the Chiefs.

He also has had four or fewer targets in three of the first five games which is significant considering he didn’t surpass four targets in only four games all of last season.

This is almost certainly the final season for Cole Beasley in Buffalo considering the Bills can cut him after the year and save over $6 million on the cap in 2022. If they are planning on doing that, it would make sense to try and get some value for a player who was very productive just a season ago.
