Buffalo Bills: Josh Allen sets career-high and other stats from Week 5
Point Differential
This final stat isn’t just from last night but rather for the first five games of the season. The Buffalo Bills 38-20 win was enough to increase their point differential over 100 points through five games, up to +108.
As the Buffalo Bills Communication Department tweeted, the Bills are now the fifth team since 2000 to have a point differential over 100 points at this point in the season.
The point differential stat is a good barometer of how the entire team is playing. A high point differential speaks to the fact that the team is playing well both on offense by putting points on the board but that the defense is also doing a good job limiting the opposing offense.
The Buffalo Bills have really done that to this point with two shutouts in five games and allowing only 12.8 points per game. On Sunday night, the Chiefs were able to only muster 20 points, which is a season low for a very good offense.
