On Sunday night, Josh Allen set a career high with the Buffalo Bills while Patrick Mahomes had a career-low. These are some of the stats that defined the win in Week 5.

The Buffalo Bills did what they hoped to on Sunday night by coming away with a win over the Kansas City Chiefs by a final score of 38-20. However, it is not only the fact they won but how they won.

These are four stats from Week 5 that defined the win for the Buffalo Bills, starting with a career high and career low for the starting quarterbacks.

Yards per pass attempt

This is one statistical category but there are two key impressive stats to highlight from Sunday night. For the Buffalo Bills, Josh Allen had an average 12.11 yards per pass attempt which was a career-high and surpassed his career best of 11.86 from Week 2 of last season against the Miami Dolphins.

The Bills were much more aggressive down the field against the Chiefs and the Bills quarterback was finding Stefon Diggs, Dawson Knox and Emmanuel Sanders for big plays.

On the other side of the ball, the Bills’ defense limited what Patrick Mahomes could do down the field and he set a career-low in this category by averaging only 5.04 yards per attempt. The secondary did a good job keeping the play in front of them and limiting the big play.

However, the defensive line also contributed to this as Mahomes didn’t have much time in the pocket to push the ball down the field.
