Buffalo Bills vs. Kansas City Chiefs: How to watch and final thoughts for Week 5
With a win in this matchup, the Buffalo Bills will have solidified their status as a conference powerhouse
The Bills are tied with the 23rd easiest schedule in the league. The consensus best divisions in the AFC–the North and West divisions– play each other. As a result, those teams will assumingely drop games intraconference clearing the way for Buffalo to reign supreme. However, having a cakewalk of a schedule makes this game that much more important for the Bills.
Although Buffalo shutout both the Miami Dolphins and Houston Texans, their defense still doesn’t get a lot of credit because of the teams they’ve dominated. What’s consistently neglected is that those opponents are in the NFL too. Teams don’t hand select their competitors. But they can play their best games when the whistle blows.
The Buffalo Bills shouldn’t be penalized or discredited because of who they knocked off, but until they can prove they have what it takes to take down Mahomes and the Chiefs, they’ll continue to be viewed as little brother.
Nevertheless, a test like Kansas City is the only matchup of its kind on the Bills’ remaining gauntlet. Winning at Arrowhead will go a long way in building Buffalo’s confidence if the teams meet again in the postseason. And if the Bills can pull this one off, they’ll have solidified their pedigree in the conference.
