WR Stefon Diggs vs. Tyreek Hill

Well, if the quarterbacks are going to be stealing the show then their top wide receivers are probably going to be important parts of the game, too.

Like Allen and Mahomes, Stefon Diggs and Tyreek Hill both have fair claims to be considered the best at their position. Last season, Diggs led the league in receiving yards while Hill’s 15 scores ranked second across the NFL.

This year, Hill has posted the better numbers. He’s notched more receptions (30-26), receiving yards (453-305), and touchdowns (4-1).

The two are very different in style, but both are extremely effective. Diggs is as polished of a route runner as there is. He uses an elite blend of quickness and smarts to get open and make life horrible for opposing corners. Hill is a straight-burner. He uses extreme speed to constantly defeat defensive backs who simply can’t keep up.

In Week 5, similarly to Allen, Diggs will likely benefit from the easier assignment as he’ll probably line up across from Charvarius Ward. The Chiefs’ corner has missed the last two weeks while dealing with a quad injury, and Buffalo will likely challenge him early in the contest.

Hill will likely have to compete with Tre’Davious White, who has been excellent again in 2021. Through four weeks, White hasn’t allowed more than 55 receiving yards to any single wideout, according to PlayerProfiler.
