QB Josh Allen vs. QB Patrick Mahomes

The two best quarterbacks in the NFL will share the field on Sunday night and ultimately decide who wins this football game.

The success of both the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs revolves around Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes respectively. Entering this contest, Mahomes has posted the better statistical season.

Through four weeks, he leads Allen in completion percentage (72.3-63.5), passing yards (1,218-1,055), and touchdowns (14-9). There is one area where Allen has outdone Mahomes, and that’s interceptions. Mahomes has tossed four picks this year while Allen’s only thrown two.

Based on what the defenses have demonstrated thus far, it appears that Allen will have the easier matchup. In four games, the Chiefs have allowed 291.8 passing yards per game, the sixth-most in the league. On the other side, the Bills have allowed 148.8 passing yards per game, the fewest of any team in the league.

With the quarterbacks possessing similar abilities and the defenses so starkly juxtaposed, it shouldn’t be shocking if Allen is the more effective passer.
