Do the Buffalo Bills get all their starters back on defense?

The Buffalo Bills defense is playing incredible football right now with two shutouts over the past three weeks. They have also allowed only four touchdowns when on the field and this year are allowing only 11 points per game.

However, some will question their performance when considering the teams they have played. After Week 1 against Ben Roethlisberger, they have essentially played three straight backup quarterbacks with Tua Tagovailoa knocked out early in Week 2, and Taylor Heinicke and Davis Mills starting the past two games for Washington and Houston.

This week, the Bills defense is going to have a big task ahead of them against this Chiefs offense with players like Hill, Kelce, Patrick Mahomes and Clyde Edwards-Helaire. They unfortunately have questions about some starters’ availability this week with Jordan Poyer and Taron Johnson missing last week’s game due to injuries.

In addition, Matt Milano left the game early against the Texans and didn’t return. On Monday, head coach Sean McDermott said all three players were ‘day-to-day‘.

The Bills did get good performances last week from players like Cam Lewis, Jaquan Johnson, and A.J. Klein but this is a game that they want to be at full health. The practice participation from Poyer, Johnson and Milano is something worth watching closely this week.
