The unknown that Josh Gordon brings to this matchup

Last week, the Kansas City Chiefs made news after signing free agent wide receiver Josh Gordon. There was a chance that the former Pro Bowl wide receiver would play his first game against the Buffalo Bills and that chance appears to have become a reality with Taylor Bisciotti reporting that the Chiefs had signed him to their 53-man roster.

It has been close to two years since Josh Gordon has played in an NFL game and it remains to be seen what impact he can have on the game. It will also be interesting to see how he is used in a Chiefs offense that already has top playmakers like Tyreek Hill and Travis Kelce.

However, knowing what Josh Gordon has done in the past the Buffalo Bills will need to be sure to gameplan for the new wide receiver. In 2019, which he split between the New England Patriots and Seattle Seahawks, Gordon averaged 15.7 yards per reception and showed he could still be a big-play threat.

The unknown is certainly going to create some challenges and the coaching staff will need to try their best to prepare for the Chiefs’ new wide receiver.
