Entering Week 4, Brandin Cooks clearly served as the focal point of Houston’s offense. In the first three games of the season, the speedy wideout had racked up 322 receiving yards, placing him third in the NFL for the category. His rampant pace slowed down on Sunday, and while the rain had something to do with it, so did Tre’Davious White.

After averaging over 100-yards per game, White was mainly responsible for limiting Cooks to just 47 yards and five receptions on seven targets.

Despite facing an impressive list of wide receivers this season that includes Diontae Johnson, Devante Parker, Terry McLaurin, and Cooks, White hasn’t allowed any of the aforementioned players to top 60 receiving yards in a game, according to PlayerProfiler. Additionally, he hasn’t conceded more than three receptions to any receiver in his coverage, which is another testament to how strong White has been this year.

While Cooks was no small task, the job gets even more difficult for White this upcoming week as he’ll likely follow Tyreek Hill around Arrowhead Stadium against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday night.
