Buffalo Bills Free Agent Target: Tyler Eifert

One of the biggest stories through the first four weeks of the season has been the improvement by Dawson Knox. The third-year tight end has looked like a different player with 15 receptions, 144 receiving yards and four touchdowns (which is already a career-high). More importantly, he has seemingly addressed his issue with drops and has a catch rate of around 75%.

However, the Buffalo Bills don’t have much experience after him with Tommy Sweeney and Reggie Gilliam as the only two tight ends on the active roster and Kahale Warring and Quintin Morris on the practice squad.

A player like Tyler Eifert could make sense for the Bills as a veteran option that could step into the starting lineup fairly seamlessly. Eifert spent the first seven years in the NFL with the Cincinnati Bengals but joined the Jacksonville Jaguars last season.

However, the Jaguars declined the team option on Eifert in the offseason and he is still looking for a new team. The biggest concern with Eifert has always been his ability to stay healthy however he has had two consecutive seasons where he has appeared in every game and could be a good veteran to have in the organization that could replace Knox if the need were to arise.
