Buffalo Bills Free Agent Target: Jamie Collins

Last week, the Detroit Lions released veteran linebacker Jamie Collins after failing to find a trade partner. Collins started his career with the New England Patriots and spent two seasons with the Cleveland Browns and most recently has been with the Lions.

The Buffalo Bills have their starters in place with Tremaine Edmunds and Matt Milano, along with a veteran as the primary backup in A.J. Klein. However, there is limited experience after those three and adding a veteran, with Super Bowl experience, would be a good addition for this defense.

Collins is also someone who has shown an ability to rush the passer with 25.5 career sacks and the Buffalo Bills could utilize this skillset to give opposing offenses different looks and create mismatches.

It wouldn’t necessarily be a bad thing to add a linebacker with experience at middle linebacker as well as outside linebacker, knowing the injury history of Matt Milano. Even if the Bills don’t lose starters due to injury, he could be a situational pass rusher to add.
