Buffalo Bills: Grades for every position group in Week 4 against the Texans
Special Teams
Tyler Bass had a busy day for the Buffalo Bills as the offense struggled a bit in the red zone. The Bills were only able to convert three of their seven trips to the red zones into touchdowns. This resulted in Bass being asked to kick four field goal attempts but he was once again perfect connecting on every one of them, as well as connecting on all four extra point attempts.
Meanwhile, Matt Haack was asked to only punt once, which he kicked 44 yards, and Isaiah McKenzie had four punt returns for an average of six yards per punt. Overall, this was a good performance from the special teams group with Bass leading the way.
Grade: B+
Buffalo Bills Team Grade for Week 4
Even in a performance like this, the Buffalo Bills will point to things they need to work on and ball security would be probably at the top of the list. They did have one interception and three fumbles (although they didn’t lose any) and this will be something they can’t afford against tougher opponents, like next week against the Kansas City Chiefs.
However, that really is the only blemish on a rather impressive performance. While the Texans were viewed as an easier matchup, the Buffalo Bills didn’t take them lightly based on their play. This was one of the more well-rounded performances the Bills have had as they really controlled the flow of the game in all three phases.
