CB Vernon Hargreaves vs. WR Stefon Diggs

Stefon Diggs hasn’t had a true breakout performance yet in 2021, but there’s a good chance we see it in Week 4.

Through three games this season, Diggs has failed to top 70 yards. By this time last year, the All-Pro wideout had topped that mark twice. This upcoming week, however, he squares off with Vernon Hargreaves, and the Texans’ corner has had his struggles.

In Week 1, Hargreaves allowed Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver D.J. Chark to pop off for 81 yards on just three receptions, according to PlayerProfiler. After having some success in a Week 2 battle against Cleveland Browns wideout Rashard Higgins, Hargreaves was burnt again in Week 3 against the Carolina Panthers when the 26-year-old was responsible for allowing seven receptions and 107 yards to D.J. Moore.

Diggs will represent the tallest task Hargreaves will likely have to face all year, and with shaky numbers through the first three weeks, this could be another rough outing for him.
