Buffalo Bills’ LB Matt Milano

The Buffalo Bills defense is arguably one of the best in the NFL after allowing 37 points through three games (the Steelers blocked a punt for a touchdown which they weren’t on the field for). This defense is doing a great job of getting after the quarterback and forcing turnovers and while it is a team effort, there is a good case to be made that Matt Milano is the best player on this defense through three games.

To start the year, Milano has 16 total tackles, six tackles for a loss, one sack, three QB hits, and two fumble recoveries. The six tackles for a loss are currently tied for the league lead with Denver Broncos’ pass rusher Von Miller.

He continues to come up with big plays, like making a tackle for a loss on a 4th and 1 play on Sunday against Washington or recovering a forced fumble when Miami was in the red zone and almost certainly would have put points on the board.

The Buffalo Bills were able to bring Matt Milano back with a sizable contract this offseason but if the linebacker continues to play like this, that contract could look like a bargain.
