The Buffalo Bills were back on the practice field but had a few starters limited, including their starting cornerback. Levi Wallace was listed on the first injury report of the week on Wednesday with a knee injury but listed as a full participant.

On Thursday, the knee injury looked to hamper him a little more and he was limited during practice. If Levi Wallace was forced to miss this weekend’s game, the likely replacement would be Dane Jackson. However, the second-year cornerback has also been dealing with a knee injury and was limited both Wednesday and Thursday.

The depth at the position would certainly be tested if both were forced to miss and the team would call up one of the cornerbacks from the practice squad, either Cam Lewis, Rachad Wildgoose, or Olaijah Griffin.

Star Lotulelei limited during Bills practice on Thursday

One player who was back at practice on Thursday was defensive tackle Star Lotulelei. The veteran missed Week 1 due to a calf injury but was able to return Week 2 against the Miami Dolphins. He played about 42% of the defensive snaps and had one total tackle.

However, he found himself back on the injury report with a groin injury that forced him to miss Wednesday’s practice. The fact that he was able to practice on Thursday, even in a limited fashion, is a good sign. Hopefully, he can be a full participant on Friday or practice at least in a limited fashion to be ready for Sunday’s game against the Washington Football Team.

The Buffalo Bills also had two other players limited with Gabriel Davis still dealing with an ankle injury and Micah Hyde with a neck injury. These were injuries that they were dealing with last week but were able to play against the Miami Dolphins and should be available for Week 3.
