Buffalo Bills widely stationary in latest NFL power rankings
CBS Sports: Buffalo Bills’ movement is minimal CBS’s Week 3 NFL Power Rankings
Current Rank: 6
Last Week: 7
The Bills move up just one spot this week according to Pete Prisco. Buffalo had a dominating win over Miami, but its minimal movement just goes to show what the media’s general consensus of the Dolphins ultimately is.
"They looked like the Bills we expected to see this season in beating up Miami. The passing game still looked a little disjointed at times. That has to be better. —Pete Prisco"
Sure, the Bills looked like a much better team in Week 2 than it did in the opening game, but Josh Allen’s performance has a lot to do with the Bills mostly standing pat in CBS’s pedigree pecking order. Allen was a pedestrian 17 of 33 for 179, 2 touchdowns, and a pick.
Heading into the meat of their schedule, the Bills will need to rely on Allen to be more of the version of himself fans witnessed last season in route to an AFC Championship Game appearance.
The Bills cannot afford to heavily rely on its defense when facing teams that are capable of scoring lots of points. The NFL’s rules favor the offenses and depending on the defense is a dangerous game to play for Bills head coach, Sean McDermott.
