Daryl Williams

The last player is right tackle Daryl Williams, who has had a rough start in his second season with the team. The Buffalo Bills brought back Williams with a new three-year contract after an excellent season at right tackle in 2020.

However, he hasn’t matched that same production while allowing at least one sack in each game after giving up one to T.J. Watt in Week 1 and then Emmanuel Ogbah last week against the Dolphins.

He also has struggled with penalties with one offensive holding penalty in Week 1 and then two false start penalties last week against the Dolphins. The hope is that false start penalties wouldn’t happen at home but in terms of protecting Josh Allen, Williams has another tall task ahead of him this week.

Washington has excellent pass rushers with Chase Young and Montez Sweat, two players they move around and play on both sides so Williams will likely have to block both at different points in the game. If the Bills hope to get Josh Allen back to playing at an MVP, he will need time to operate in the pocket and that will start up front with Daryl Williams being a big part of that.
