The Buffalo Bills were back on the practice field on Wednesday after their impressive win over the Miami Dolphins. They now turn their focus to the NFC East as the Washington Football Team is scheduled to come to Highmark Stadium on Sunday.

While most Bills were back on the practice field, there was a notable name who sat out. Defensive tackle Star Lotulelei missed Wednesday’s practice due to a groin injury suffered against the Dolphins.

This is certainly disappointing as this was Lotulelei’s first game of the season after missing Week 1 due to a calf injury. The veteran defensive tackle did play 31 snaps against the Dolphins, which was 42% of the team’s defensive snaps.

If Star Lotulelei is forced to miss this week’s game, the likely replacement would be Harrison Phillips who replaced him in Week 1 but was inactive against the Dolphins with Lotulelei playing.

Bills wide receiver still dealing with ankle injury

Gabriel Davis suffered an ankle injury in Week 1 against the Steelers and after being limited in practice, he was able to play against the Miami Dolphins. It looks like the ankle is still an issue after being limited on Wednesday.

For the second straight week, Micah Hyde appears on the injury report due to a neck injury. He suffered the injury during Thursday’s practice last week and after being limited on Friday enter the weekend with no injury designation. The coaching staff could be taking it slow with Hyde to ensure he is able to play on Sunday.

Another notable name is cornerback Levi Wallace, who was listed on the report with a knee injury. He left the game in the second quarter against the Dolphins with what was described as ‘cramping’ and Sean McDermott said they were being cautious with him.

The fact that he is a full participant is a good sign but him, along with Dane Jackson who was limited, are two players to watch this week in terms of their practice participant.
