Stat #2: Six Sacks

The Buffalo Bills dialed up the pressure early and often in Week 2 against the Miami Dolphins. While sacks don’t tell the whole story, six is an impressive number when considering the Bills as a team had only 38 all of last season.

The Bills defense started early with a sack by Taron Johnson on the first play of the game and Micah Hyde got into the action two plays later on third down to end the Dolphins first drive of the game.

This week, Greg Rousseau not only got his first career sack but followed it up with a second later in the game. This was the first rookie to have multiple sacks in a game since Ed Oliver in 2019.

The other two players who had sacks against the Dolphins were Matt Milano and Justin Zimmer.

If the Buffalo Bills can continue to get this type of pressure on opposing quarterbacks, this defense is going to return to being one of the top defenses in the league, if not the best.
