Buffalo Bills: Who are the x-factors in Week 2 against the Miami Dolphins?
Buffalo Bills X-factor on defense: Matt Milano
The Miami Dolphins are going to be without Will Fuller this week, who was expected to be back after serving a one-game suspension in Week 1. However, the speedy wide receiver is out this week for personal reasons and the Dolphins are likely to lean on Jaylen Waddle but also tight end Mike Gesicki.
Gesicki is a talented tight end that the Bills saw first hand how he can make an impact on a game in Week 2 last season. In that game, Gesicki had eight receptions on 11 targets for 130 yards and a touchdown.
While the Dolphins weren’t able to come away with the win, the Buffalo Bills need to do a better job containing the tight end.
The good news for the Buffalo Bills is that they are going to have a player back this game that they didn’t have last year with linebacker Matt Milano. The fourth-year linebacker is one of the better players at his position in pass coverage and does an excellent job against tight ends.
Milano is coming off a frustrating season last year where he struggled to stay healthy but played great last week against the Pittsburgh Steelers with five total tackles and two tackles for a loss.
The Buffalo Bills are going to be looking to Milano to cover Mike Gesicki and if he can limit the impact the Dolphins tight end has, the Bills will be in a better position to earn their first win this season.
