One of the starting safeties for the Buffalo Bills was limited on Thursday

The Buffalo Bills were back on the practice field Thursday ahead of their showdown with division rival Miami Dolphins. While the good news is that most players are trending in the right direction, one player was a new addition on Thursday.

Bills’ starting safety Micah Hyde was limited in practice on Thursday due to a neck injury. It remains to be seen when the injury took place since he didn’t miss any time in Week 1 against the Pittsburgh Steelers and was a full participant yesterday.

At this point, it shouldn’t be too concerning but is worth seeing if he is able to be a full participant tomorrow during the Buffalo Bills final practice of the week.

Other players trending in the right direction for the Buffalo Bills

Yesterday, the Bills had only one player sit out due to injury with wide receiver Gabriel Davis missing practice due to an ankle injury. Based on reports, he didn’t look completely healthy but was moving well with Jon Scott providing some video from today’s practice.

The team had two players who were limited on Wednesday, Matt Milano and Isaiah McKenzie, but were full participants on Thursday. As for defensive tackle Star Lotulelei, he was limited for the second straight day. He missed last week due to a calf injury and at this point, he would likely need to put in a full practice on Friday to be available Sunday against the Dolphins.

If Star Lotulelei does miss a second consecutive game, the Buffalo Bills once again will lean on Harrison Phillips, Vernon Butler, and Justin Zimmer to replace the starting defensive tackle.

The only player who did not practice at all was Emmanuel Sanders who appears to have sat out Thursday for a Vet Day. He was on the injury report for a foot injury from last week but was a full participant on Wednesday.
