Levi Wallace

When a team has an All-Pro cornerback in Tre’Davious White on one side of the field, chances are, the opposing team will try their best to stay away from them. It just so happens that Levi Wallace is that number two corner on the Bills depth chart that gets a lot of attention from opposing quarterbacks. Ben Roethlisberger used Wallaces’ side of the field on numerous occasions, specifically on third downs.

A big momentum shift in the game came in the fourth quarter when Wallace was called for a pass interference penalty on third down which set up a touchdown to Dionte Johnson two plays later. Wallace was also covering Johnson during that touchdown and although the defense was great, Wallace made an incredible bobbling catch. Wallace was a hero on the 2019 matchup against the Steelers with a huge interception but seemed to have a target on his back in Week 1.

Wallace will have his hands full yet again against Miami as there are some of the fastest receivers on the Dolphins roster. DeVante Parker, Will Fuller V, and Jaylen Waddle will all be a handful for the Bills secondary. Luckily, quarterback Tua Tagovailoa is not as experienced as Ben Roethlisberger, and is more likely to make some mistakes for the Bills to capitalize on.
