ORCHARD PARK, NEW YORK – SEPTEMBER 12: JuJu Smith-Schuster #19 of the Pittsburgh Steelers runs with the ball after a reception and breaks a tackle from Tre’Davious White #27 of the Buffalo Bills at Highmark Stadium on September 12, 2021 in Orchard Park, New York. White’s one of the best corners in the entire league, but in Week 1, the Steelers’ receivers got the best of him.

If Buffalo’s going to have a successful pass defense, White will need to essentially eliminate whoever is lined up across from him. That wasn’t the case on Sunday afternoon, as Roethlisberger manufactured some success through the air when targetting White.

This play, a spectacular catch by Claypool no doubt, is one where White has to win the battle. White was in coverage for both Claypool’s (22 yards) and Johnson’s (14 yards) longest catches of the day, something that can’t happen against a team’s top corner.

Like most on the Bills, White had a day to forget. There’s no reason to doubt White’s skills, and a bounce-back performance against a deep Dolphins receiving core should be expected.
