Josh Allen plays the right position

The position that Josh Allen plays seems to play a major role in who wins the award as a quarterback has won MVP for eight straight years and 13 out of the last 14 years. The only player to win it that wasn’t a quarterback was Adrian Peterson when he earned the award in 2021.

This isn’t necessarily surprising considering how much importance is put on the quarterback position. They are expected to be a leader on the field, break down defenses and keep offenses on track.

There is no franchise that knows the importance of the position more than the Buffalo Bills. One of the reasons they struggled through one of the longest playoff droughts in all of sports was because they struggled to find that elite replacement for Jim Kelly.

The fact that Josh Allen plays the quarterback position certainly helps but he will need to be productive on the field and put up the stats.
