Buffalo Bills: Updated game-by-game predictions entering the 2021 season
Week 13: New England Patriots at Buffalo Bills (Monday Night Football)
For the second straight season, the Buffalo Bills face the New England Patriots on primetime. However, this time the game will be played at Highmark Stadium and not in New England.
The Patriots are expected to be improved over last season, specifically on defense with the additions of Matthew Judon, Kyle Van Noy, and rookie Christian Barmore. They also added a number of players on offense with tight ends Jonnu Smith and Hunter Henry, as well as wide receiver Nelson Agholor.
The question is can Mac Jones lead this offense and score enough to keep this team competitive? The Patriots are fully behind Jones after releasing Cam Newton and appear ready to go through any growing pains that may occur.
Even though the Patriots’ defense will be better, I don’t believe they can score enough to keep up with the Buffalo Bills in this one.
Prediction: Win (10-2)
Week 14: Buffalo Bills at Tampa Bay Buccaneers
The next team on the schedule is one that won’t have any problem scoring points as the Buffalo Bills head to Tampa Bay to face the Super Bowl defending champion Buccaneers. The Bucs made a big splash last year by signing Tom Brady and it paid off for this franchise.
The Bucs, similar to the Bills, didn’t make any significant changes and were able to bring back almost all of their starters. This familiarity puts both teams in great position to have success this year and this possibly is a preview of the Super Bowl this year.
This will be a tough game for Buffalo and should be competitive but the Bucs are able to pull away late and end the Bills’ six-game winning streak.
Prediction: Loss (10-3)
