The Buffalo Bills have one spot open on the practice squad

This year, NFL teams are able to have 16 players on their practice squad, which is the same number as last year. However, the Bills announced only 15 players had been added to the practice squad as of Wednesday evening.

There is certainly a reason for that and general manager Brandon Beane may have a specific player in mind for that final spot. He could also want to wait a few days to see what other moves teams make and if there are players that become available that would be good additions to the practice squad.

When considering how the Buffalo Bills’ 53-man roster is constructed it is probably safe to rule out that final player being on the defensive line or at wide receiver. In terms of positions they could be considering, it may be running back, tight end, or even linebacker.

Another potential option would be to add a kicking specialist, either a placekicker or punter since the Bills only have one of each on the 53-man roster.
