Jack Anderson

The Buffalo Bills drafted three offensive linemen in the 2021 NFL Draft and while Spencer Brown and Tommy Doyle made the 53-man roster, seventh round pick Jack Anderson was one of the cuts for the Bills on Tuesday.

The former Texas Tech Raider is an interesting player because he brings versatility to the offensive line. While he did play guard primarily in college, his best position could actually be at center.

The backup center position is an interesting one for the Buffalo Bills because there isn’t a clear answer here if Mitch Morse is forced to miss extended time. The likely scenario would be Jon Feliciano, but then that means the Bills would have to find a replacement at offensive guard.

Another option would be Ryan Bates, who has been with the team for a few seasons but hasn’t necessarily been a dedicated center either. If Anderson continues to develop at center, he could be that answer the Buffalo Bills need.
