Buffalo Bills: Breaking down the initial 53-man roster
The Buffalo Bills officially announced their 53-man roster for the season on Tuesday. The team had to cut a number of players to get here and had to make tough decisions along the way.
However, the reason the Bills were in that situation is a testament to the job general manager Brandon Beane has done as he has built one of the best rosters in the NFL and in Bills’ history.
Over the past few days, Brandon Beane tried to do everything he could to get value from players who may not make the roster. On Monday, the Bills traded Darryl Johnson to the Carolina Panthers for a sixth round pick. The depth the team had at the position had Johnson on the bubble but by releasing him they freed up a roster spot at another position while also getting something in return.
While the Buffalo Bills did get down to the required 53-players, there will likely be a few more moves before the team takes the field against the Pittsburgh Steelers. This is a breakdown of the initial 53-man roster for the Buffalo Bills.
