A notable difference from the previous roster predictions the Bills keep two tight ends instead of three. Tommy Sweeney likely did enough to make the roster but a late injury in camp and a tough numbers game keep him on the outside looking in. Nate Becker and Quinton Morris are both solid practice squad candidates along with Sweeney.

If the Buffalo Bills only keep two tight ends on the roster they could keep two on the practice squad for extra help if need be. What makes two tight ends an easy call for Brandon Beane is that fullback Reggie Gilliam played all last season at tight end and is more than capable of playing the position in addition to fullback this season. So in reality, Buffalo is carrying three tight ends on this roster.

A notable reason Buffalo could also keep only two tight ends is that they could be in the market through the waiver wire or trade for a veteran tight end who can contribute.
