Dawson Knox

This was supposed to be the season that everything came together for Dawson Knox. When the Buffalo Bills drafted him in the third round of the 2019 NFL Draft, the thought was he would need some time to develop but he had all the physical tools to be a good tight end in the NFL.

However, drops have been an issue for Knox over the years and even though it was a point of emphasis, the starting tight end once again had a few drops in the preseason.

Meanwhile, Jacob Hollister has had a solid preseason, including 53 receiving yards on three receptions versus the Chicago Bears in the second preseason game. The former University of Wyoming tight end has never been a starting tight end but is one of the more sure-handed players at the position.

When considering targets are limited for tight ends in this offense, the Buffalo Bills can’t afford to have drops. It wouldn’t be surprising if Hollister opens the regular season as the starter.
