Gabriel Davis is ready for a bigger role

While the Bills did have Josh Allen on the field, they were without their star wide receiver Stefon Diggs. The Bills appear to want to be very cautious and while Diggs has returned to practice after dealing with a knee injury, he may not have been ready for this game.

The beneficiary of Diggs’ absence was Gabriel Davis who had an impressive performance with five receptions for 75 yards and the touchdown mentioned on the previous slide. He led the team in receptions and yards in this game.

Last year, Gabriel Davis had an excellent rookie season where he finished third on the team in receiving yards (599) and second in receiving touchdowns with seven. Entering this season, it wasn’t clear what his role would be with the addition of Emmanuel Sanders.

However, he looks like he is ready to take that next step and could find himself as the starter opposite Stefon Diggs on the outside.
