Rachad Wildgoose
The bottom half of the depth chart at cornerback is wide open at this point going into the final preseason game. The battle is likely going to come down to sixth round draft pick Rachad Wildgoose and undrafted free agent Nick McCloud.
In the first two games, McCloud has been the best when looking at both games with a near pick-six against the Detroit Lions but it was called back after it was reviewed for hitting the ground. However, he did get that interception the following week against the Chicago Bears. He also has two passes defended, one in each game.
As for Wildgoose, he didn’t have a good first game against the Lions but played much better last week against the Chicago Bears. He finished the game against the Bears with two passes defended.
The hope would be that Wildgoose can put another solid performance together to earn a roster spot because he does bring a little more versatility to the position as he could play both outside and inside at nickel corner.
