3 bold predictions for the Buffalo Bills’ preseason game against Packers
Tremaine Edmunds recovers a fumble
Through three NFL seasons, Edmunds has not recorded a single fumble recovery. On Saturday, however, look out for the middle linebacker to scoop up a loose ball.
This offseason, defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier said he wanted to see both Edmunds and Ed Oliver make more “splash plays on a consistent basis.” These types of game-breaking moments aren’t something Edmunds has supplied a whole lot of for the Bills since being selected in the first round in 2018. Through three pro campaigns, Edmunds has been responsible for just five turnovers (three interceptions and two forced fumbles) and 5.5 sacks. In three years at Virginia Tech, Edmunds accumulated 10 sacks, three fumbles forced, one fumble recovery, and one interception.
Although his reps will be managed and he won’t play the entire game, Saturday’s game offers a pressure-free opportunity for the fourth-year pro to show that he’s ready to take his game to the next level.
