Jake Kumerow

Last week was the “Mitchell Trubisky Revenge Game” with the Bills playing the Chicago Bears and this week it is Jake Kumerow’s turn to have a revenge game. He will be playing the team he started his career with but was cut last offseason, which was a surprise to Packers’ quarterback Aaron Rodgers and has been well-documented.

Jake Kumerow has certainly had an impressive training camp and after a quiet game against the Lions, he had two receptions for 20 yards and a receiving touchdown. However, with the depth at wide receiver he probably is still fighting for that final roster spot.

Entering this game, the Buffalo Bills have a number of question marks at wide receiver with Cole Beasley and Gabriel Davis on Reserve/COVID-19 list, Stefon Diggs just returning from a knee injury, and Isaiah McKenzie dealing with a shoulder injury. This could move Kumerow up and have a chance to play extended snaps in the final preseason game.

A big game on Saturday could be just enough to lock in a spot on the 53-man roster if there is any question at this point for the Buffalo Bills.
