Who will be available for the Buffalo Bills?

The other question for the Buffalo Bills is who exactly is going to be available for this preseason game. They have a number of players who have missed playing time due to injury and the injury report after Wednesday’s practice included 12 players according to Maddy Glab’s tweet.

This list also doesn’t include the four players who were added to the Reserve/COVID-19 list earlier this week. That group included Gabriel Davis, Cole Beasley, Vernon Butler, and Star Lotulelei.

The challenge for the Buffalo Bills is that the injuries, combined with the players added to the Reserve/COVID-19, are mostly concentrated at three positions with four wide receivers (Isaiah McKenzie, Marquez Stevenson, Cole Beasley, Gabriel Davis), three cornerbacks (Dane Jackson, Levi Wallace, Taron Johnson) and defensive tackles (Star Lotulelei, Vernon Butler, Harrison Phillips).

The depth at these positions could be an issue and it isn’t surprising that the Bills signed two wide receivers (Rico Gafford, Steven Sims), one defensive tackle (Joey Ivie), and one cornerback (Tim Lewis) this week. This will be a big question for the Buffalo Bills and may not be answered until the day of the game.
