4 Buffalo Bills on the roster bubble who helped themselves vs. Bears
Nick McCloud
The end of the depth chart for the cornerback position is really anyone’s guess but Nick McCloud is a player who is making a strong case for one of those spots. The undrafted free agent addition has looked good so far this preseason and in the game against the Chicago Bears came away with an interception to go along with four total tackles.
This came after he almost had a pick six in the first preseason game against the Detroit Lions. However, that interception was ruled incomplete after the review showed it hit the ground.
The top of the depth chart is set with Tre’Davious White, Levi Wallace, Taron Johnson, and Dane Jackson. While Siran Neal has struggled in coverage this year, he is a key part of special teams and will likely have a spot on the 53-man roster this year.
The battle for the final roster spot will likely come down to Rachad Wildgoose, who had a better game against the Bears than the prior week, and Nick McCloud. This will be a key battle to watch in the final preseason game of the year.
