Davis Webb

A fan favorite after the Bills’ opening win against the Lions, Webb struggled mightily in his second round of action in the preseason.

Webb completed four of his six attempts for a lowly 30 yards, lost three yards on four carries, fumbled twice, and never really looked comfortable.

Perhaps the most disappointing part of his effort was his inability to create anything on the ground. After compiling 26 yards on two rushes in Week 1, the dual-threat QB didn’t have one rush for a positive gain against Chicago.

Luckily for him, Jake Fromm wasn’t much better in the contest. While facing a tonne of pressure, the second-year QB connected on just three of his seven attempts, picking up 20 yards and two sacks in the outing.

Although Fromm’s lackluster effort likely keeps the position battle for the third quarterback spot open for another week, Webb missed a great opportunity to put himself ahead of his competition. Overall, Webb has completed 15 of his 22 pass attempts for 120 yards, one touchdown, and one sack.
