Buffalo Bills: 2 positions that already have depth concerns
Cornerback
The cornerback position is the other one that the Buffalo Bills may be re-evaluating after the first preseason game. The team entered training camp with a position battle between Levi Wallace and Dane Jackson to start opposite Tre’Davious White. To date, Wallace has looked better but Leslie Frazier recently said the battle is still ongoing.
Regardless of who wins the job, both Wallace and Jackson will make the roster and the loser will be the first backup onto the field if there is an injury. However, after that the depth certainly should be a concern.
The hope was Rachad Wildgoose could be that answer as he could play both inside and outside. However, on Friday night the sixth-round draft pick struggled and could be a concern if Wildgoose had to start for an extending period of time either at slot or on the outside.
The Buffalo Bills may be in a position to consider adding a veteran at the position to share backup duties with Dane Jackson, who is inexperienced himself. However, similar to offensive tackle the front office may elect to wait until after preseason to see who becomes available at the position after roster cut downs.
