Jordan Poyer

One player who seems to be underrated every year is starting safety Jordan Poyer. The Bills signed Poyer as a relatively unknown free agent in 2017 and he immediately stepped into the starting lineup alongside Micah Hyde.

These two players have combined to become one of the top safety duos in the NFL but between the two, Jordan Poyer is the one that should make this list.

This past season was arguably Poyer’s best as he actually led the league for all safeties in total tackles with 124. However, that isn’t the only thing Poyer does for this defense as he also added two sacks, three forced fumbles, and two interceptions this past season.

This will hopefully be the start of more league-wide awards for the Buffalo Bills safety in 2021.
