The Buffalo Bills try to ensure that there is not a lack of communication between the front office and their franchise quarterback.

One of the top storylines this offseason was the drama that was unfolding in Green Bay between the Packers and Aaron Rodgers. When looking at the rift that developed, one of the underlying causes was a lack of communication between Rodgers and the general manager Brian Gutekunst when it came to moves.

In Buffalo, general manager Brandon Beane tries to make sure that doesn’t happen between him and Josh Allen. Recently, Beane was on the Pat McAfee Show and said “anything that we think would affect him or affect the locker room, we do try and communicate that to him knowing he is our franchise guy.”

Brandon Beane also said that Josh Allen does understand that Beane has a job to do and the Bills quarterback isn’t necessarily making personnel decisions.

The communication between the Bills and Josh Allen has seemed to be great, especially at a time that it could be contentious. The two sides recently negotiated a six-year, $258 million contract extension, and any time there are contract talks of this magnitude with top players, it can very easily go in a bad direction.

That never seemed to be the case here and Josh Allen continued to say this offseason that he believed it would all be worked out and it wasn’t something on his mind, as Kim Jones of NFL Network tweeted at the end of July.

The Buffalo Bills continue to trend upwards and are in a great position to build off their success from last season. The little things like communication between quarterback and front office, which can become a big issue, are one of those reasons the team has been able to accomplish what they have since Sean McDermott and Brandon Beane joined the franchise.
