Friday evening the Buffalo Bills play their first preseason game in over two years. After last season’s preseason was canceled due to COVID-19 the NFL shortened the preseason to three games instead of the usual.

Bills coach Sean McDermott already stated in a press conference early Wednesday morning that Josh Allen along with several starters would not play. Although he did not name any other players than Allen we can assume most other players who are missing practices like Zack Moss (Injury) and Dion Dawkins (COVID) will not play along with big-name players such as Stefon Diggs, Tre’Davious White, and others.

Either way, the return of the preseason means we will finally be able to see the bottom of the roster players make their case not only to be a part of Buffalo’s 53 man roster or practice squad but also to flash for potential other opportunities in the NFL. Going into Friday, the Buffalo Bills’ roster is all but set. Here are some of the position battles that you should keep an eye out for against the Lions.
