Matt Breida
The Buffalo Bills are hoping to get improvements from the run game this year and the only change they made was signing free agent Matt Breida. He brings speed and a big-play threat that was lacking from the position last year but is a bit of an unknown.
The reason is that this past season he didn’t play much with the Miami Dolphins. The Buffalo Bills AFC East division rival traded with the San Francisco 49ers for Breida last offseason. However, Breida had only 59 rushing attempts and was passed on the depth chart by undrafted rookie Myles Gaskin.
The veteran running back has gotten positive reviews from people in attendance at practice, like from Sal Capaccio in this article from the beginning of August. The question is can he replicate that performance in a game. How he does in the preseason will be a good indication of what his role might be in this offense in 2021.
