Buffalo Bills trade away Wyatt Teller
While the Kelvin Benjamin trade will go down as one of the more infamous trades, the trade Brandon Beane probably regrets the most came in 2019. At the time, the trade was more of an afterthought as the Bills traded offensive lineman Wyatt Teller to the Cleveland Browns for two late round picks.
The Bills traded Teller shortly before the team had to cut down the 53-man roster and with the depth the team had, Teller was likely on the roster bubble. If this was the case, then it makes sense for Beane to try and get at least something in return instead of just releasing him.
The reason this trade is on this list is Teller has developed into one of the better guards in the NFL. This past season he was named second-team All-Pro and is a key part of one of the best offensive lines in the league. In fact, Pro Football Focus recently ranked the Cleveland Browns as having the best offensive line.
At the time, the thought process certainly made sense for what the Buffalo Bills had and the idea to get at least something in return. However, Wyatt Teller would undoubtedly be an upgrade at either guard position and help this offensive line. That is why this trade ranks as the worst made by Brandon Beane as general manager with the Buffalo Bills.
