Another position that the Buffalo Bills are deep is at wide receiver and the depth chart battle for those final spots is going to be one of the toughest battles in training camp. The top of the depth chart is pretty well set with Stefon Diggs, Cole Beasley, Emmanuel Sanders, and Isaiah McKenzie.

In the past, the BIlls have typically kept only six wide receivers so this leaves one final spot available for essentially three players. The player who appears to be the favorite is Jake Kumerow, who has had a tremendous start to training camp with the Bills.

If Kumerow does win that final spot, and if the Bills keep only six wide receivers, then that will mean two draft picks by Brandon Beane would be released this offseason. The Bills drafted Isaiah Hodgins in the sixth round last year and drafted Marquez Stevenson in the sixth round this year.

Hodgins hasn’t had a chance to take an NFL snap, either in preseason or the regular season, after being placed on injured reserve before the start of the season. As for Stevenson, he has a skill set that is similar to McKenzie and if he weren’t to win the return jobs, it is hard to find a role for him based on the current roster.
