Daryl Williams

Overall Rating: 76

Position Rank: 15th among right tackles

The player who probably has the biggest complaint when it comes to their rating in Madden 22 is starting right tackle Daryl Williams. This past season, he started every game for the Buffalo Bills at right tackle and finished 12th among offensive tackles in snaps played (1,050), tied for fifth in penalties (9), and 26th in sacks allowed (3), according to Pro Football Focus.

The fact that Daryl Williams is behind a player like Ja’Wuan James is a significant oversight by the team that puts together the ratings. James is currently expected to miss the entire 2021 after suffering a torn Achilles while working out this offseason. Prior to that, he missed all of last season due to the pandemic and in 2019 played only three games after suffering a knee injury.

Daryl Williams didn’t have a great finish to his time with the Carolina Panthers after an injury in 2018 and below-average play in 2019. There certainly could be an argument that he needs to prove past one season he is one of the better players at the position. However, this rating for Madden 22 is just too low when considering some of the players ahead of him.
